Ellen Mahoney is the founder of Sea Change Mentoring, established in 2013 to promote relationship-based learning and wellbeing in international schools. An alumna of international schools herself and a Third Culture Kid, Ellen brings personal insight and professional expertise to her work in global education.

She is an award-winning educator with extensive experience supporting diverse and mobile student populations. Her deep cultural fluency enables her to build trust and inspire meaningful change among school staff and leadership.

Ellen hosts The Sea Change Podcast, where she explores the intersection of social-emotional learning (SEL) and international education. She is also an Affiliated Consultant with the Council of International Schools (CIS).

In addition to her consulting and mentoring work, Ellen has co-authored several publications on youth development, including topics such as university transitions, suicide prevention, and international school transitions. She is currently based in Hong Kong.
