Jacob Johanssen is an instructional coach and international mathematics consultant with over 18 years of experience across the U.S., Peru, Hungary, and Mexico. He partners with schools to strengthen mathematics pedagogy, instructional practice, and professional learning. Jacob has coached and led professional development for teachers across Elementary, Middle, and High School, with a specialty in Secondary Mathematics. He currently leads the Secondary Mathematics cohorts for Project AERO, helps run the Math Specialists in International Schools (MSIS) with Erma Anderson, and serves as an IB examiner and team leader. Drawing on a collaborative coaching approach, his workshops help educators connect strong pedagogy with purposeful, relevant learning for students.
